Western North Carolina’s Tsali Recreation Area is such a classic outdoor destination that anyone familiar with the trails of the Southeast likely knows of it, and countless outdoor adventurers have been introduced to mountain biking, hiking, or running on the trails there. That’s why we’re so pleased to announce our support of trail maintenance at Tsali through Jim Parham’s brand new Tsali Trails Map. It’s available now, and we’ll be donating ten percent of net proceeds from its sales to Nantahala Area SORBA, the local advocacy group that looks after the trails there.
Looking to contact Nantahala Area SORBA? Visit the organization’s website, or stop in at Bryson City Bicycles in Bryson City, NC and talk to Andy and Diane (also responsible for the photo above), who are mainstays of the group.
The new map is printed on waterproof and tearproof paper, with trails shown in color in a topographic format. It has a new trail-use schedule and details on the USFS campground at Tsali. It even includes suggestions for where to ride nearby on very wet days when the trails at Tsail may be too soft.
It feels good to be providing the most current information on one of the Southeast’s most popular mountain bike destinations. It feels even better to be giving back locally—to a place that’s offered so much to so many over the years.
